Columbia Knitting Worsted is listed as a wool yarn having 280 yd/4 oz (123 yd/50g). This sweater would be a sport-weight yarn on size 4 and 1 needles.

Based on the width of 65 stitches across the shoulders, it looks like the given needle size is actually what I need so that’s what I’m going with.

Because the bust-to-waist ratio is much greater than mine (pattern: 34”:20”, me: 34”:27”) I had to adjust the decreases for the belt.
For the back: Instead of K2T all the way across, I did K1 K2T all the way across.
For the front: Instead of K3T 8 times, K2T 20 times, K2 P2 the rest of the way across, I did K2T 8 times, K1 K2T 14 times, K2 P2 the rest of the way across.

Doing the conversion from the old yarn to my yarn indicated that I would need six 100g skeins (or 11 50g skeins). This took nearly all of five skeins of yarn. If it were to be made larger, it would definitely need the sixth.

It’s finished with about a yard of 1” wide grosgrain ribbon, ten 3/4” shell buttons, and two pairs of hooks and eyes for the collar.
