I’m using a crocheted purse dated to 1840-60 for a pattern for the beading, but since I don’t crochet, I’m knitting it. I don’t want to put my name on it so I’m substituting a group of diamonds to balance the star.

This purse took all but less than a yard of the beading cord and nearly all of 40g of beads - something between 3500 and 4000.

The rings are something of a problem so I will continue to look for better rings and will to hope to find something that matches the original better. These will suffice for the interim.
