Test knitting for Lee Meredith (Leethal.)
3/15 I messed up Section 1 pretty badly and frogged the whole thing. Went at it again with some notes from Leethal and it came out right! Yay!
3/15 Finished Section 2 and had zero problems! Since I figured out my issues on the first section, I was able to whip out the second section rather quickly. This is going to be an amazing shawl. I’ll post more pictures when it’s completed.
3/24 This shawl is coming along beautifully! In Sections 1-4 I got the same YO’s that are counted in the pattern. For Section 5 I got: 11 wedges- 15, 15, 14, 12, 12, 12, 10, 8, 7, 5, 4 YO’s.
I’m working on Section 6 now and will most likely run out of yarn here and bind off. In the end of the pattern, Leethal gives you the option to adjust and tweak the sections/wedges and I’m doing just that. Instead of working 14 w&t’s like the pattern suggests I’m doing 28. This way Section 6 will have more wedges before I have to bind off. I just think it’ll look nicer that way instead of less but bigger wedges.
3/30 Finished! Bound off 349sts with MC- Cousteau. I have 5 wedges in Section 6 with 11, 10, 9, 7, 7 YO’s. It didn’t quite use up all my yarn but there’s not enough to start and finish another wedge. Woohee! It’s so big after blocking! A whopping 86 inches wide and 19 inches tall!
4/1 Took pictures while I was at the Woodburn Tulip Festival.
