Notes

If you’re looking for a page with all the mods, here’s what I did:

  • kfb instead of m1r/m1l, I like it better and it’ll mean less pattern to memorize! Yay for free brain cells!
  • YO inbetween the two border stitches of the RS rows, drop them on the WS rows for stretchy edge
  • I did a garter tab cast on - I know, I know, there are people that hate it, but… I really prefer a seamless edge, and even those few cast-on stitches were bugging me. So, CO 2, knit 3 rows, pick up 1 stitch on the edge of your little garter strip, pick up 2 on the end of your little garter strip, and you’re ready to go!
  • (haven’t made it this far yet, but this is the plan) When I made it to the stripes, following a link a helpful Raveler provided (this one here), I will slip the first stitch of the row, bring ALL YARNS to the front of the stitch, slip it back, and then knit with the color called for. (pre-using this tip: can’t work out in my head why this will look so nice, but several Ravelers have mentioned it, and the edge on the video did, indeed, look very nice)

Plan for color order: marceline - add cinnamon bun - tardis in shadow on bottom

After casting on while watching the season finale of Once Upon A Time on the DVR (so this is a good 1 1/2 hrs of knitting time) I realized several things: 1. I was not doing the stretchy edge trick, 2. I don’t like the M1R/M1L, and 3. I had some serious Cat On Lap Syndrome and no stitch markers (an earring will do in a pinch!)
