Challenge (Intellectual): A MOST EXCELLENT ADVENTURE THROUGH HISTORY

Your challenge is to craft an item that represents an historical era, be it one you are interested in or one which inspires you.

When I think of the Victorian era, I think of lacy doilies laying around, accentuating the beautiful furniture.

Team tie-in: The doily I chose to crochet has 11 roses around the perimeter, Rose being the companion of the Ninth Doctor, and the first companion of the Tenth Doctor.

Team Unity: I can imagine Rose gifting this doily to Queen Victoria after saving her from the werewolf alien. The Queen became a villain by banishing the Doctor and Rose from Britain.

NOTE: HOLY NUMBER OF ENDS TO WEAVE IN, BATMAN!

June 9, I was down to the leaves. I made half the leaves and out of nowhere BOOM I was super bored with it. Finicky crocheters unite!
