My first crocheted socks!

Size
I followed the instructions for the 8” foot circumference (for chain and stitch count) and 9” foot length (for # of rnds worked).
Body
The written instructions for the cable pattern repeat do not match the charted instructions. The repeat in the written instructions is rnds 3-14 but there is no rnd 14 on the chart. It looks like repeating rnds 2-13 on the chart gives the same results so that’s what I did, but I ended up 1 row off the chart when I finished the body. The original pattern ends after a cabled row, mine ended after an esc row.
Toe
Rnd 3 ends with moving the stitch marker and Rnd 4 begins with moving it again the same number of stitches. I wasn’t sure if this was an accidental duplication so I only moved the stitch marker at the end of rnd 3, and not a second time at the beg of rnd 4. I had to rip back after realizing the round are worked in the back bar which is not the same as the back loop.
Recommendation
I would recommend finishing the heel before the toe so you can try on the sock to make a better fit. That way if your gauge is off you can omit or add rows to the toe.
