Notes

Cat Bordhi and her mind fascinate me without end.
So I had to have her newest book and to try out her new way to knit socks.
First I was very sceptic how these socks could fit - but they do!
The first one is finished and the second one on it’s way.
I have to admit (again) that I am not a huge fan of toe up sock knitting and what I do not like about this sock is that it cannot be knit in one piece without breaking the yarn. It has it’s advantages though: the heels are replaceable and if one follows the instructions carefully the socks will most definitely fit the wearer.
A very interesting way to approach sock knitting differently.

Most valuable is the VERY stretchy bindoff technique Cat Bordhi offers - the stretchiest bindoff I encountered yet!

After finishing the second sock I almost vowed to never again knit socks this way again.
Why? I don’t like six loose ends for one simple sock to weave in. I don’t like this way for picking up the stitches after finishing the heel. I don’t like the three needle bindoff at the heel (although this is the easiest to remedy).

But: it fits really really well!
