Easy and fast knit. I am sure I will get a lot of use out of it this fall. (Since the colour doesn’t suit me, I’ve decided to give it away.)

I decided on 7 repeats instead of eight, so it fits me better.

Because I didn’t like the smooth finish, I re-blocked to incorporate the better-suited crumpled look.

Since I don’t use it often, I generally look up the how to for the Kitchener stitch. Here’s a great demo from “Purl Soho.”

The knitting box is perfect fit for small projects. I used two coats of acrylic paint in antique white with a light sanding between coats, coupled with a cut out rose pattern from a napkin taken down from three layers to one. Finished with, of course, two coats, on different days, of Mod Podge to allow for proper drying.
