In the English version the amount of yarn is given in yards. I just assumed it was given in grams. So I bought to much. (twice the amount I really need) Luckily I could bring half of it back the next day.

I did magic loop cast on instead of figure 8 cast on. And I’m using one circular needle (100 cm long) instead of two.

I interpreted the chart for lace pattern wrong. But then I saw the written instructions for the lace pattern, now I understand it. So I’m ready to start again.

I did not check my gauge :( It was way off. So I made a swatch with size 7 mm needle, a little late I know.

So I guess 3 times a charm.

September 20, I finished the hood.

I started the body in size small. But after two stripes I saw that it was to small. So I frogged.
Second time, body in size medium. After 8 stripes I saw that it was still to small. So I frogged again.
Third time, body in size large.

Oktober 4, I have 8 stripes again, now it is the right size. Now I’m curious how long the body needs to be for me. Fortunately I don’t have to frog to find out.

So 3 times a charm for the hood and 3 times a charm for the body. :)

Oktober 10, I have 11 stripes now. This is not long enough, so I will knit 2 more stripes (size medium).
