Test knit for Leen002: Tintaglia

Followed the charts. Got confused a bit how to start the dropped stitches (k1,yo vs. yo,k1).

Got excellent tip from nathalierevel : Instead of k1, yo or yo,k1 just knit wrapping the yarn around the needle twice thus skipping the yo’s in between the stitches. It makes it much easier to follow and the results are the same.

Although I had 400 meters I ran out of yarn towards the border (last 2 rows). Discovered I knit the whole thing on US 6 (4mm) instead of US 5 (3,75mm) as suggested in the pattern. Darn those Knitpicks Harmony Wood needles with no marks on them :-(

Ripped back to borderlace, and starting the edge at 325 stitches to ensure enough yarn. It doesn’t show at all I made one less repeat of the borderlace.

With help of DH blocked the shawl with electrical wire (who knew being married to an electrician could be helpful to a knitter LOL) because I have no blocking wires.

Measurements after blocking: 1.60 x 61 (63” x 24”)

I love this shawl immensely! It’s light and airy and drapes beautifully because of the bamboo content.
