I love knitting with this Malabrigo yarn; knits like a dream. The only thing I don’t like about it is that it’s not the right color for this pattern; I should have picked a lighter-colored worsted because the variegated colors hide the cables.

Finished one wrist warmer this afternoon. There’s a gaping hole in the thumb gusset. Did some research on Ravelry and see this a common problem with this pattern. Will knit other wrist warmer with modifications to gusset. Also, I didn’t to the picot cast off because others said it ruffled outward, which I wouldn’t like. Basic cast-off worked fine.

1/29 - ended up following the pattern without gusset modifications. Sewed up holes around thumb with yarn.

1/31 - can see the wool is rather pilly after wearing these gloves all weekend.
