Mar 31, 2013 - Love how this turned out! Even better, so does Ani. Throughout the knitting process she kept holding it up to her neck saying, “not scratchy!” It’s soft, knit up well and feels like it will hold up well. Haven’t had a chance to block it as I finished it in the late the night before Easter morning!

Made JCasa’s sleeve mod to avoid rolling and cast on 5 stitches under arm; added stripes too. Also did garter stitch border at the bottom.

Mar 2013 - Ani is extremely sensitive to textures and anything “scratchy” quickly gets discarded. And so I’ve at last come to accept that most wools won’t work for her (Spud & Chloe Sweater - wool/cotton combo - seems to be an exception) and that I need to find a super soft yarn in another (natural) fiber. Enter Rowan Softknit Cotton, recommended by my local yarn store. Hoping it knits up well and maintains its shape.
