Knitting these for my local Waldorf school’s Handwork Group. The pink/orange and blue/purple ones are Manos Maxima, knitted on an 9. The multicolored ones are Loops & Threads Kaleidoscope, knitted on a 9. Kaleidoscope comes in skeins of 54yds and I got about 2 full pouches (with strap) or 4 partial pouches (w/o strap - I mixed and matched yarns for straps) out of a skein.

These are a super quick knit - one can be done in about an hour.

Making some according to instructions but also amending the pattern a bit for bulky versions, casting 22 on size 9 (5.5mm) needles for those and when time for decreasing k2tog 1 round, then k2tog until last stitch and k1 for one round, then k2tog another round until have 3 stitches left, then pull string through.

For straps holding 2 strands tog and crocheting/finger knitting or knitting an I-cord with three stitches (2 for bulky) and 1 strand of yarn.
