Mods:
My husband wanted this long enough to cover his ears, so I knitted the ribbed band an extra 1/2” then knitted the body an extra 1” (1 1/2” extra total). The result is long enough that it covers his ears and he can turn it up just a bit.

The yarn? Yum. LOVE. Great stitch definition, knit up into a smooth, thick, warm fabric with a lovely sheen.
The pics really don’t do it justice.

UPDATE: DH lost this beautiful hat on the Metro (we think) shortly after I took these not-great photos. We were both rather distraught over that. Will have to make another this year and get better pics.
