Notes

Working all of motif A first, then attaching motifs B & C. Attach-as-you-go method.

This yarn feels a little thicker than most of the yarn I use. I’ve seen it marked as worsted weight, before, but it looks like it’s listed on Ravelry as aran, which seems more accurate.

The batch of multiple skeins of yarn had a slight (not pleasant) smell, which I didn’t notice until after I’d bought and started working with it. I figured it would air and/or wash out, and it did.

I worked this pattern twice-- once for each set of my grandparents.

Though this project’s “open time” spans several months, it really didn’t take that long to make (considering its size). When I was actively working on this project, it went pretty quickly-- a key benefit of crocheting in a single color.
