Notes

Oh what a fine yarn and what a fine pattern!
I recommend to read the pattern for the first time completely. And while knitting read the whole chapter before starting again. There are many “…and at the same time…” parts.

All’s fine so far, like the pattern a lot. Even though its hard to keep track with all the dec/inc and the changing patterns. Do my best, still have the same gauge and stich count as pattern states. Hurray!

Looking great, but I suspect that this doesn’t fit a girl of my size. - May 24 2011-vitually frogged

12.08.2011 - De-frogged the project happy that I did not rib it. Let’s see what happens. Just found out the difference between “the next row” and “the other row”.
Instead of 7 button holes, I have 14 ;-) - but I like it.
14.08.2011 - first half of front ready- looks great
17.08.2011 - finally found 14 matching small buttons size 7mm - fitting nicely, will sew it one by one the moment I finished the button band behind.
the thread is made from 2plies of the Fine Milk Cotton Yarn
24.08.2011 - front is ready, buttons (14!!!) sewn

Another restart, with the help of the “dieKirchheimer” knitting group. We do a KAL on old projects in Sep-Dec 2012.
Another restart, now with the help of the KAL Use your books in The Passioknit Spinner Group.

Made the same ribbing to the back as for front.

Now, at 2020 I cannot explain why it took so long. The yarn is fantastic, the project was interesting…I do not know. The fit is georgeous. Sadly I had not enough yarn to make long sleeves. Instead of the cap “sleeves” I made a little border to match the ribbing-style in the top, I think that suits better to me.
