This is a really interesting cardigan construction.
I like the lace/mesh pattern a lot, quite nice to remember. Very cleverly integrated I-cord edging.

What I like best about this pattern is its versatility. I can choose by myself where to have the waist shaping (if at all) or if I should go for a longer cardigan (I will), or for an A-line shaping (Yes!). And Carol Feller did all the work for me and wrote it down. Very nice! Thank you!

The yarn makes this a very special knit.
The structure and the hand just fit perfectly.
To get gauge I need only 3,5mm needles and expect to need more yarn than given in the pattern. To be on the safe side, I got a little more yarn.

Instead of the waist decreases I did increases.
For the first short-row row I had 175st before w&t,
and 82 in the following row. It seems I need a 25 stichtes distance to the side markers on each side.
- Oh yes it worked! I’m really looking forward to wear it some day.

Feb 19 to Feb 23, 2012 - Yoke & body done, I-cords in place, 7 buttons sewn on, start of first sleeve. I’m somehow on warp-speed ;-)

…and now…I had to re-knit a whole sleeve, found a slipped stitch..arghh

The colour of the cardi is a greenish gray/stone colour, not brown as some pic show.

Next time I would knit a whole size smaller. Its not fitting as close as I was afraid of.

The model in the pics is a 36” - wearing a 48” cardigan. That’s why the lace pattern seams to sit very deep. On my body its on the correct place.

I’m not satisfied with the buttons jet. Once I find a better solution I might take new pics.
