I’m making this super secret project for myself for New Year’s Eve.

I’m spinning the yarn from these South African Fine braids from Spunky Eclectic, using my Houndesigns Lace Spindle. I was originally hoping for a fingering weight yarn, but it’s turning out MUCH thinner.

The pattern is being made up by Becca from the FTP group since I’m no where near as talented as her.

I’m hoping to have the 8oz of yarn spun and plied by the beginning of July, mid-July at the latest, so that we can figure out gauge and yardage.

Aug 12 - printed pattern and one ball is wound. Will starte pattern this weekend. Will link to pattern/designer when pattern is released to the public.

sept 14 - starting second ball 666yds = 5.6oz/160g
Oct 19 - FINISHED used 59g of second ball for a total of 486yds. I did do some extra waves also at the end.
