This pattern uses three colors and with color changes every two rows it has become rather fiddly and tedious.

It is getting down to crunch time. The baby is due mid July and I’m only 10 inches into the 38.5 inch length. (I’m wishing I had started with a more narrow width than the recommended 40 inches.)

And the child is still less than a year old. I’m pleased with the result, but I don’t think I’ll choose the fine weight baby yarn nor the smaller hook for a blanket of this size.

Feb. 22:
Updated yarn it was definitely not DK/8 ply 11wpi yarn weight! It was baby or sport * light (3) on the labels.

I must find the label for the Bernat yarn to get those color, weight, and measure details more accurate.
