Notes

Cast on the morning of June 15th to participate in Camp Loopy.
This pattern is ADDICTIVE!
I’ve barely been able to put it down since I started, and am sooo glad I have this Friday and Monday off work. It’s coming together so quickly I may actually have it done by the end of this weekend!

I love watching the stripes and shape develop. When I read the instructions I thought “no way, how will that work?”, but as it progresses, those short rows are doing their magic.

June 30th: finished this last night! I used nearly all of my two skeins of yarn. I stopped on the Espadrilles since I knew I wouldn’t have enough yarn to do another full stripe. The Water Lily color I stopped when it looked like I would only have enough yarn left for two more rows (7 and 8 of the pattern that you repeat at the end), but wouldn’t have enough enough for the cast off.
I did a lace cast off so it would be stretchy, but still neat and tidy.

Two of my kitties are modeling in the pictures. Mikween is wrapped in the shawl in two shots, and Rocky is checking it out while I was trying to get a full view photo (helpful boy!) I almost didn’t get the shawl back from Mikween, though, but it was worth the cute pics. :D
