Notes

This ended up being Freddy’s burial shroud.

Before I found out what Freddy was, I found this yarn at Yarnology. There was pink and there was blue. It was 30% off. I bought two skeins of each, thinking it would be perfect to make something for the baby out of. But I wasn’t sure what.

Tonight I decided that the smooth finish of this yarn would make the cables on this Owlie Sleep Sack stand out perfectly, and since there are two skeins of it, maybe I can make it and a hat to match.

Only one problem: the pattern calls for worsted, and this is chunky. Now, it doesn’t feel that chunky, so I am going to give it a shot, hoping that the thicker yarn will serve to make it a bit bigger so it fits longer.

I am working some mods, namely I am putting a k2p2 rib at the top instead of a rolled top. This will make it into a more suitable sleep sack. To enable me to work the rib, I cast on 84 and I plan to increase one stitch to get up to the 85 called for in the pattern.

10-8-2013, 9:04am This is done! Almost ran out of yarn, so it is quite a bit shorter than I thought it would be. I just did my own decreases. I like it, and I look forward to seeing a little curled-up Freddy in it. :)
