Notes

“Knitting is very conducive to thought. It is nice to knit a while, put down the needles, write a while, then take up the sock again.” -- Dorothy Day said that.

Two-at-a-time on magic loop.

Feels good to be making socks again. A wee bit rusty. So rusty, I had to watch this video to re-learn the details of the Turkish Cast on. I also had endless dropped stitches to deal with. That said, once I got on a roll, how gratifying to have a pretty, yet simple, pair of socks to wear.

PATTERN: Following the pattern as is, with the only exception being that I cast on 22 (11 on each needle).
Pattern was quite easy and well written. Pattern gives no instruction for heel but suggests using your favoured method. Grateful for the designer to write and share her pattern.

Jeny’s Super Stretchy Bind Off.

HEEL: Using a fleegle heel for toe-up socks.

{In future socks, I may try Purl Together’s great idea of reinforcing the foot (which always wears out for me)}

YARN: I found the yarn nice to work with, resulting in a favourable fabric but especially love the colour. Would use this yarn again for socks.

I only used 69 gm because I like a short leg section.
