Notes

Second time making this, but with moderations.
All the photos are taken pre-blocking so that’s why it’s so wrinkly.

Obviously, one major change was using fingering weight yarn though I used a larger needle to ensure it had the relaxed fabric.

Pattern: Now that it’s done, to be fair, this isn’t really the Lazy Daisy Shawlette because I kind of did my own thing.

  • I used her garter tab and then proceeded with my own version of things.
  • I slipped the first edge stitch (wyif) to ensure a nice clean selvedge edge.
  • Only did increases on the right side of fabric; none on WS of fabric.
  • Added garter ridges to the bottom 1/3 of the shawl.
  • Last 5 rows were completed as per the last 5 of the Nordic Wind Shawl.

Yarn: I love how this turned out with the Mad Tosh and the colour is really gorgeous! Lovely drapey fabric created by going up needle sizes.

Bind off: used this nice stretchy yet tidy looking bind off.
