Notes

Working on the knitted on border and enjoying it! 3 repeats done, quite a few to go but the rows are shorter…phew! Lovely little shawl so far!

Just finished the knitting and the shawl is taking a bath!

My circular needles also are bamboo and say “US 6/4.25 mm” so I’m not sure if that made a difference in the yardage used but it may have.

Unintended Mod:
For knit-on border, I ended up knitting all 18 stitches then adding border to the main body by one extra knit stitch for a total of 19 stitches - oops, my bad! I haven’t knit on borders before but now I realize the K2TOG is meant for the last stitch of the border and the last stitch of the main body of the shawlette.

Total Yarn used:
Started with: 105 g
Left: 10 g
Used: 95 g (380 yards)

Size of Shawl (post blocking):
Length (down centre spine): ~18”
Width (tip to tip): ~48”

Found a good source to explain Chart C:
TUTORIAL: KNITTED-ON BORDER

P.S.: It’s really hard to capture the darkness of this colourway once it’s in the light…the colour is close but it’s more like the darker original colour photos but once flat from blocking, the red is picked up more by the digital camera.
