I started by following the pattern, but quickly realised that it was going to be bigger than I really wanted, which was something for when the yarn ball is getting smaller and more prone to collapse.

I re-started using smaller needles (3.25mm) and with 40 sts and am very happy with the result. Finished off with an I-cord tie.

Great free pattern and the designer is incredibly helpful too.
