Notes

Spotted this in the Knits to Give book and knew I had to make it. Luckily I searched for any errata before I began as I found some.

The design is really sweet, but unfortunately I found the pattern to be a bit of a nightmare at first - I think it really could have done with a chart. I found it quite confusing, especially trying to factor in the errors. In the end (after tinking rows a couple of times) I wrote it all out in more easy to follow note form, and after that it was a breeze and very nice to knit. I’m giving it a low rating because of this and because without the errata, I’d probably have become completely lost and doubted my ability to knit cables - this is only the third time I’ve knitted them - but actually, these cables are very easy once you have the correct pattern notes.

I don’t think I’ve used this yarn before and it’s lovely. Will certainly use it again.

Took less than 5 hours in total, although the two evenings spent on it were almost 2 weeks apart.

I have 2 six-cup teapots and it fits the short round one better but the cables look nicer on the tall, straight one.
