I cast this on sometime in the last week and I’m already past the waist increases. The looser gauge makes this a pretty quick project.
Instead of knitting the sweater back an forth I cast on four extra stitches at center back (where the button band would normally be) and joined it in the round. I’m probably going to add a fake button band later.

26.10.
The knitting has been finished for a few weeks now and I blocked it over the weekend.
And WOW this sweater GREW! it’s at least 10cm/4” longer than expected! I guess the loose gauge paired with the loosely spun merino yarn wasn’t the best combination. If I ever make this sweater again I would defenitly use more stable and heavier yarn, to make the fabric a bit tighter.
I’m not sure what to do with it now. Shall I add the buttons int he back or not? Will it shrink back over time? Try to block it again and push the stitches together?

Yay the sweater actually shrank back to a wearable size after spending a few weeks in the back of my closet. So I attached buttons after all and took some nice photos today :D
