I love the yarn so far. The colour is simply gorgeous. It’s spun with two different colours, pink and red. The overall effect is a wonderfully rich wine colour. The yarn is also very soft and nice to work with.
I hope to get this sweater done before I go to Scotland for two months in August.

Finished the body yesterday with following changes:
- started with size 36” till decreases
- then increased every 4th row 9 times to get the stitch count of size 40” around the hips.
- also knit to the length of size 40”
I also started on the lace panel before doing the sleeves, because I’d like to make them long if I have enough yarn.
For the lace panel I picked up 103 sts (as stated for size 44”) because that’s what worked for me on the 2 by 3 ratio. I’m gonna do two and a half repeat of the lace pattern as for size 40”.

Finished the lace panel last night. Now on to some more mindless knitting on the lower border in front of the TV ;).
This goes really fast! I feel like I’m almost done after two weeks, though there’s still the sleeves to do.

I finished all the borders last weekend and started on the first sleeve yesterday. I’m really looking forward to finishing this and see how it fits.

I finished all the knitting last night. For the sleeves I followed the decrease instructions for the 40” size and made them long by decreasing every 8th round 8 times and every 6th round 3 times, then knit another 6 rounds before starting the cuff without any further decreases.
Tonight I wove in all of the gazillion ends, wich took foreeeveeer!

Finally finished this all up. Wich means I sewed the button bands shut (as I’ll never unbutton it anyway), stabilized them with grosgrain ribbon and sewed the buttons on.
I’m gonna take action shots as soon as the weather is cool enough to wear it for longer then two minutes.
