Made this for my niece, who is 14 months old. Her head is approx. 18”.

CO 90 st, did 8 rounds ribbing, then decreased down to 88 st. Knitted 2 rounds before beginning the chart. Followed pattern up until decreases, when I did this:

Row 1: K6, k2tog
Row 2: Knit all.
Row 3: K5, k2tog
Row 4: Knit all.
Row 5: K4, k2tog
Row 6: Knit all.
Row 7: K3, k2tog
Row 8: Knit all.
Row 9: K2, k2tog
Row 10: K1, k2tog
Row 11: k2tog
Row 12: I think I did another k2tog, anyway, I ended up with 12 stitches and then pulled the end through.
