I wanted a warm, slouchy hat to give my brother for Christmas, with a brim that could be folded up or left down. And I wanted it to be at least a little slouchy when worn either way. I used a combination of these two patterns…here’s what I did:

-Cast on 90.
-3 inches of 1x1 ribbing.
-8 inches of stockinette.

Decrease rows:
-K5, k2tog, repeat.
-Knit.
-K4, k2tog, repeat
-Knit.
-Then continued on as in the Peruvia Slouchy Hat pattern.
