Update - This sweater won a ‘Craftster - Best of 2010’ Award!!

This is a recreation of the sweater that Ellen Page wears in the movie Juno. It’s an over sized raglan cardigan with a squirrel design along the bust and sleeves. ( BTW - I found a store that sells the original http://www.joebrowns.co.uk/sp+Mens-Bargain-Cheap-Knitwear... )( doh! looks like it’s gone. I’ll leave the link in case it comes back someday. )

I am changing the squirrel design a bit from the original to a modification of a chart I found on the internet a while ago: Stephieface’s Squirrel Chart

I originally tried to do the squirrel design as stranded knitting, but it wasn’t looking that great and the texture of the fabric was coming out weird. I have changed to doing it as duplicate stitch. I left the notes I took for the stranded knitting up if someone else wants to try it.

Finished! I think it looks better on Brian (sigh… as always).

-A brief warning to everyone-. DO NOT USE/BUY THIS YARN. If you even glance in its general direction you will look like you were attacked by a persian cat. And if you wear an item made of it, you will itch like mad (though it got slightly better after washing (only because all of the alpaca fell out in the washer (seriously, I pulled out several hamster sized balls of fluff from both the washer and dryer))).
