I have a feeling that this shawl will be a lot fuzzier and have less drape than the pattern example, as the yarn I’m using is 100% cashmere. It’s what I had on hand, so that’s what’s getting knit. I’ve loved the color, and it’s been a long time since I knit a lacy shawl, so I’m looking forward to this project. This will likely be a better project for commuting than for social knitting, so it may take me awhile.

4/7: Clue #2 done. Need to take pictures before I move onto the next one.

4/17: Have three rows and the bind off to go and only 5 yards of yarn left. I’ll have to wait until my kind friend bails me out with a matching skein that she happens to have!

4/18: I got the second skein tonight and finished up after an hour or so. My first skein might have been a little light, as the finished shawl weighs 56 grams, and I ended up using 4 grams from the second skein. I used a size 11 needle to bind off, so there should be plenty of play in the edge when it comes time to block it. I’ll probably get it in to soak this weekend, so I’ll be able to photograph it in a few days. Lovely, fast project!
