Notes

Worked 5 pattern repeats for the initial yoke band, then washed/blocked (read: got really wet and laid flat to dry) to see how many repeats I’ll need for the whole 44” band. (20)

Modifications

Working through row 15 on the last repeat for the starting yoke band and grafting rather than knitting through row 16 and seaming.

Working the sections in a different order. I prefer working the sleeves before the body and then tucking them inside themselves when knitting the body in top-down sweaters because it’s just easier that way. Using that preference, after the yoke I’m knitting the top first, tucking it inside itself, then the sleeves, then the body.

Only knit 2” of cabled ribbing on the sleeve cuffs; the sleeves seem too long for most people. Keeping the body plain for a few more inches and adding increases every inch back to 200sts; I don’t like ribbing that high along the hems. Also decreasing one stitch between cabled rows on hems instead of switching needles.
