It’s much easier to knit the side borders before seaming the rows together - you don’t have the bulk of the rest of the blanket hanging from your needles if you’re knitting on just the panel that gets the border.

US13 for border bindoff.

Row 1 of all color change squares must be knit to have smooth transition, so end the Ridge Pat on Row 2, then knit across on RS to start Trinity Stitch Pat squares. Also knit 1st row of Ridge Pat squares instead of slipping the CO row.

Started on US8s (2/23/2014), ripped it out after 3” because it was a bit tight and squeaky. US9s it is!
