Original sweater. Had enough yarn left over for a matching baby hat.

Used numbers from Simple Lines Baby Hat but worked the hat top-down with raglan-style shaping to match the sweater and use up as much yarn as possible.

12 month – 16″ circumference, 7.5″ high, increase to 96 sts

CO 8 using magic loop, K 2 rows, use KRL and KLL in the first and last sts of each needle (4 needles) every other row to make it appear to be raglan increases with one stitch in between to 96 total sts. Knit until 6.5” from top, increase one stitch and switch to seed stitch (K1, P1) for 1” or until yarn runs out (almost 2” in my case).
