Notes

US8/5.0 mm for body, US7/4.5 mm for the legs and wings.

I started this one before I made the turtle itself. Realized after making the body that I should probably make the turtle to see if it all fits. It doesn’t. Or at least, it fits the body, but won’t even be close to fitting the legs inside as well. Rip and re-knit, with a bigger needle!

The bottom of the shell and the attachment panel are about 60 sts around at the widest point using a needle one size larger and using the same needle, the body itself is 48 sts; the bat shell is supposed to hold the legs on the inside and is only 44 sts around at the largest part. I’m going up two needle sizes because there’s no way this is supposed to fit! The gauge listed is also the gauge that is listed on the original pattern for the larger needle size. Yep, going a size so it will (hopefully) fit right!

No one else seems to have had this problem. Is it just me, am I over-stuffing, or what?
