V1: A bit small, even though I’m knitting the large, due to smaller needles. Adding four extra stitches (56 sts) and making the wrist motif one rib wider.

Add the extra cables on the ends a la Hanne-lore, lengthen the arm to use up all the yarn. 13 cable crosses (repeats of Round 1 from the Chart, 52 rounds), then 3 rounds before starting Chart. I also started the thumb gussets early (Round 15 on the Chart) so that the motif was centered around the wrist rather than below. Did seven cable crosses after the motif, then three plain rows then BO. Cast on thumb sts with backwards loop.

Worked the four back stitches as opposite of what they were (K the Ps, P the Ks) instead of rearranging them for added stretch starting with main motif and continuing through the end of the mitts.
