Aurora pattern

Too small with recommended needles. Starting over!

Using L for the cuff, S/M for the length, and adding four stitches to the thumb to complete the pattern and because it seemed snug.

For color dominance, I put the MC (black) in my left hand for the hand and thumb and the CC (variegated) in my left hand for the back (main pattern) of each mitten.

The Jitterbug had some black in the pattern. When it was across the palm, I let it go. When it would obscure the front pattern, I knotted it so that the black part made a loop, then when I was finished, pulled that loop under the floats inside the mitten. Given the thickness of the stranding, the knots don’t seem to be noticeable.
