Notes

The final piece weighs 200g, so I’m estimating that this took about 3 and 1/3 60g balls. I bought the skeins one at a time from different locations, and used a few leftover strands from a previous project on the 4-round purled section that required holding the thread doubled.

I used a US2 (2.75mm) DPN to bind off to keep things loose. It worked pretty well.

I think it looks rather pleasing with my paternal grandmother’s Rosenthal china with the wheat pattern that she got when my grandfather was stationed in Germany in the 1950s. So much German-ness on one table!

Update! I submitted this in the Creative Arts Competition at the State Fair of Texas for 2018. It got 2nd place in the Knitted Lace category!
