Finished: I enjoyed doing the afterthought heel; it was the first time for me to do this. All in all a nice simple pattern and quick knit.

• I was a bit disappointed that the pattern did not come with instructions on how to knit (or embroider) the snowflake featured in one of the stockings shown in the pattern.

• I agree with Susan that it would have been a lot easier to purl the cuff and then keep knitting rather than turning the work around. At least there should have been a wrap and turn to keep things tighter.

• I also don’t like the rolled edge where you fold the cuff over. If I knitted this again I would knit one row (the edge row), then purl one row then knit the leg part; that way you’d have a more defined edge.
