I started these in one of my sock knitting classes; knitting both in tandem: I had the first cuff finished for the first class and showed with the second sock how to knit in the round on DPN’s. Same for the heel flap (2nd class), turning the heel and picking up gussets (3rd) and toe decreases and kitchener stitch (4th and last).
I gifted them with the yarn end at the toe not sewn in yet, so I could easily undo the Kitchener stitch and adjust the length if needed.
