Notes

I am using the Chadwick’s to reinforce the toes and heel.
Knitting these two at the time.
Halfway through the toe I realize that this yarn is handwash only ; oh well at least it’s just socks. They are easy enough to wash out in a basin.
The Chadwick reinforcing yarn was not enough for the two toes, but still enough to strengthen the area where the toes may poke holes.

I was thinking to mirror the cables, but did not as I think they go all one direction so the additional cables in the leg will look more aesthetically pleasing (everything going around one way… )

I am practicing “knitpulhunter’s” method of knitting cables without a cable needle on these socks:How to Cable without a Cable Needle for the 2x2 cables and this method for the 1x1 cables.

I put a lifeline after four pattern repeats as per suggestion in the pattern in case I needed more (or less) length before starting the gussets. It fits perfectly and I am back on track knitting the legs two-at-a-time.

348 cables and I am done with the pattern.
Moderation for the ribbing: When I started the P1, K1 ribbing I switched the stitches of the previous row each time a knit would have fallen on top of a purl; didn’t like that look and think it looks neater this way :)
