Notes
  • Row 5 and 7 (WS rows) The 10 stitch repeat between the * * does not line up with the previous rows. It would be clearer if it was written as * k1, p9* , K1

It only took two weeks to finished ! :)

It is blocking now and that’s when the lace pattern really “pops”. I think it’s looking good :)

For my nephew’s and his wife’s first baby. They wanted warm colors; pink, orange, red etc. (I am guessing they are having a girl, but it’s not official;). This yarn has it all and I think it will be perfect with the pattern.

A little difficult to decide on the needle size. I started on US 9 as suggested in the pattern if using Madeline Tosh, but didn’t like it; too loose. Then I checked which needle size others used with the Cascade and noticed that they were all over the place from US 5 in Ocean Blanket to US 8 in Cranberry heirloom. I myself have used US 6 for the fingerless gloves I knitted in the same yarn, but for those I wanted a really tight knit. I am trying US 8 on my second attempt and I like the gauge it gives me :)
I am happy to be using the beautiful stitch markers my friend Bobbi gave me.
