I received the patterns and yarns last year as part of the 2014 Strickmich Club package. For one reason or another I did not start knitting a single one of these until now. I am making this shawl for my sister’s birthday; red is her favorite color.

About the yarn: I like the feel and color saturation of the yarn; a deep rich red, but I am having difficulties with the yarn splitting. It is lightly spun and and untwists easily (it almost has the feel of embroidery yarn).

Starting: I am off to a good start having completed four hearts in just under one day. Then I read some of the comments and watched the video instructions.
The comments (too small) made me decide to go up to a needle size US#3.
About the video instructions: s2sk I do this stitch a little different, without the cumbersome twisting of the stitches with my left needle. I simply knit the three stitches together through the back-loop after slipping them. Inc 1 I have been knitting M1 (pick up the bar between the stitches, then knit through the back loop) and not knit one below (which I think the stitch Martina is using is commonly called). This should not look too different, but I am changing it for the rest of the hearts.

5.25. I finished the first 12 hearts during the first week.

6.2. Finished and blocking; now it just has to dry and I can mail it off.
