Notes
  • For anyone else who is curious how they can make yarn from milk I found this article which explains it well: How can they make yarn from milk and part 2 of the explanation. Cool, right?! What could we think of next; the possibilities seem endless!

A total of 13 lace repeats (7 Green and 6 Natural). After the last full repeat I knit row 9 (RS) and row 12 (WS) in Natural and then cast off with a 3.25 mm crochet hook.

I used this pattern before for a purple shawl and think it will be perfect for my milky yarn. I am changing colors at each pattern repeat and carry the yarn by knitting every last stitch of the WS rows holding two strands of yarn together.
The yarn feels incredibly soft and weightless with a nice drape to it; perfect weight for a summer shawl.
