“Sommer” is the German word for “Summer” :)

Working a size between S and M. This pattern is easy to adjust to an in-between size by adding stitches in the side panels.
I am trying it on in-between and decided to start decreases after about 6”.
7.23 Using different color stitch markers for center stitch(es) of the sides and the front and back. I prefer one marker left and right of the chevron center stitch rather than hanging a marker right into the stitch. Once I established the first row from the chart, I continued without a chart as it is easier to move the purl stitches over row by row, reading the stitches as I go along. With the yarn going thin and thick it is difficult at times to read the stitches, but I am getting into the pattern and breezing right along.
The beginning of the row is placed strategically well right where garter meets either a knit or purl section; so there is no jog and the beginning of the round will be virtually invisible.

I had it on the back burner for a bit, but am determined to finish it before the summer is over.
These are the modifications I made:
For wider shoulders I decreased 12 sts total for armholes (6+1+1+1 +1+1+1) and kept going for the neck until I had 20 shoulder stitches left, then another six rows straight. I also started the neckline later than indicated in the pattern; 6 rows later for the front and 10 rows later for the back.
Used Crochet Hook size F to single crochet around the arm holes and neck.
Blocked to my measurements to fit loosely. One picture before blocking, three after blocking.

Quite a bit of yarn left of the third skein, so I made a shawl.
