My husband asked for fingerless mitts to use at work (workplaces in China tend to be freezing in the winter). Knitting the ones from light-fingering yarn is going to take for weeks so I decided to knit a thicker pair right away and then knit another one with time. I don’t want him freezing meanwhile.
I CO (40) in the evening while watching Dexter and already knit most of the other mitt. The yarn just couldn’t be softer and nicer. The pattern is quick and fun.

Both were knit while watching TV so this a good “brainless” project but purling back with 4 dp-needles was so fun at all so I probably won’t repeat this project. The next pair of fingerless mitts I might prefer to knit flat.
The end-result here was rewarding, warm and exactly what we wanted.

For my husband, I cast on 40 sts. For myself, I would cast on 32 to make them snug. I still have yarn left over from the skein so one skein is plenty for this project.
