Notes

Waist band:
On 3.5 mm needles, work stockinette for 8 rows, then purl across 1 row. Switch to 4 mm needles, work rib according to pattern for 10 rows. Switch to stockinette and rib and start 4-row stripes.

Hips: Increase one additional time (172 sts).

Legs: Decrease 17 times, end with 3.5 cm of K2, P2, K1, P2 ribbing on 3.5 mm needles.

Finishing: Sew cast-on edge to the wrong side of the fabric to form casing for elastic waist band.
