There can’t be a holiday season without snowmen, whether you live in cooler climates or not! Use this snowman as ornament, home decoration, or toddler toy.

Additional materials:

  • Small amount of stuffing.
  • A tapestry needle for the embroidery.

Instructions:

To make the body

  • Weave two 2” hexagons in white.
  • Weave two 4” hexagons in white.
  • Sew a small hexagon (head) to a large hexagon (body).
  • Sew front and back together, leaving the bottom open. - Lightly stuff, then close.

To make the hat

  • Weave two 2” hexagons in dark brown and sew them together along 4 sides.
  • Fold up the tips as pictured and sew into place.
  • Sew hat unto the head.

To make the scarf

  • Using the crochet hook from the weaving kit, chain 30 stitches in blue. Turn.
  • Work a single crochet stitch into the second back loop and every other loop to the end.
  • Cut yarn and pull the end through.
  • Sew in the ends.
  • Tie the scarf around the snowman’s head.

For the carrot nose, chain 3 stitches in orange. Turn.

  • Work a slip stitch into the second back loop, a single crochet stitch into the last back loop.
  • Cut yarn and pull the end through.
  • Sew the nose onto the face.

With dark brown, work French knots (with two wraps) for the eyes and the mouth. Work three French knots (with three wraps) along the front middle of the body.
