For the Philadelphia Eagles gnome weave the following:
On the TexaTURTLE™

On the TinyTURTLE™

  • Nose (1) in 209 Soft Fudge, beige
  • Feet (2) in 205 Slate Grey, medium grey
  • Beard (1), use Berroco Plush, white (use of locker hook recommended)

To make the football:
Use the TinyTURTLE™ and Paintbox Simply Aran in 210 Coffee Bean, brown. The optional white stripes are done in 202 Champagne White.

  • Weave (2) in brown, or (1) in brown and (1) with stripes.
  • To weave optional stripes, complete the bias weaving as usual. When weaving the center section, weave 2 rows white, 3 rows brown, 2 rows white.
  • Embroider the “seam” in white.
  • Sew the two hexagons together along 5 sides, stuff slightly before closing the last side.

Additional materials:

  • We embellished the gnomes with 3” team patches.
  • Stuffing

Assembly:

  • To form the body, weave a piece of yarn all around the body hexagon and pull it close a little bit. Stuff. Pull tight the opening to about 1.5” and secure.
  • To form the head, weave a yarn end all around the head hexagon and pull it in. Stuff. Pull tight the opening to about 1.5” and secure.
  • Sew head to body.
  • To form the nose, weave a yarn end all around the nose hexagon and pull it. Stuff. Pull tight the opening to about 0.5” and secure.
  • Sew nose onto the head.
  • For each foot, weave a yarn end all around a foothexagon and pull it in. Stuff. Pull tight to close the opening. Sew feet to body.
  • For the hat, fold the hat hexagon in half as shown in the picture. Pull in the top fold to form a tip, then sew along the length of one hexagon side to form the hat.
  • Very lightly stuff the hat, then position it onto the gnome’s head and body as pictured and secure with a few stitches.
  • Sew on or glue the patch.
